WELCOME TO THE AGB !
The Art Gallery of Bancroft (AGB) is located in the town of Bancroft, Ontario, Canada. Completely run by dedicated volunteers, the AGB mounts 12 exhibitions per year celebrating the work of local and regional artists and artisans. These exhibitions include the popular annual "Juried Show"; the annual student show displaying the work of four regional high schools. The gallery gift shop displays the paintings and fine crafts of area artists and the AGB boasts a permanent collection including some of Ontario's finest artists. New volunteers are always welcomed as are submissions by new artists.

Tracey Lee Green and Marg Gurr
Tracey Lee Green received her Retail Design Diploma from Seneca College of Applied Arts and Design in 1991. She then went on to obtained her Blacksmithing Certificate in 2005 from Sir Sandford Fleming College and followed this with the diploma program in Visual and
Creative Arts. Tracey is the recipient of many awards including The Rose Maddock Award for Best Oil in 2010 and The Dora Pudon Award for Best Acrylic in 2009. Tracey is the owner of the NOSTALGIC Art Studios in Tory Hill and a past Board member of the Haliburton Arts Council
and continues her membership in seven Art related associations.
Marg Gurr is an exciting and creative sculptor and stone carver whose work is highly representational to abstract in concept. Marg states in her Artist Statement “My work with stone is really about relationships. It’s a collaboration between medium, artist and
audience that endeavours to bring out the best in all involved. It’s about passion, creativity, gratitude and humility. When I work with stone I find that the more awareness I can bring to the process, the better I feel about it. Sometimes that awareness is about the tangible
characteristics of the stone...it’s size, colour, texture. Sometimes it’s about less tangible aspects...the relationships within the creative process that relate to tone, rhythm and spirit.”
Marg has participated in many exhibitions and maintains membership in several Art Associations.
